As an accredited photographer at the 2012 Xchanging Oxford/Cambridge boat race I was asked to supply photographs of Boris Johnson's London mayoral elections campaign event, held by the finish line. Boris was supposed to be presenting the medals to the winning crew (Cambridge) but due to the Oxford bow becoming unconscious at the end of the eventful race and needing hospitalisation (see picture in slideshow), the award ceremony was canceled by both crews agreement
